The documents and collection instruction may be sent directly by the remitting bank to the collecting bank or through another bank as intermediary.
The collecting bank should inform the collection results in accordance with the following rules.
Chapter Four is relevant to the legal practice of different countries concerning the dispute between the principal and the collecting bank.
"The collecting bank must send without delay advice of payment to the bank from which the collection instruction was received, detailing the amount or amounts collected, charges and/or disbursements and/or expenses deducted, where appropriate, and method of disposal of the funds."
Presentment for payment made to the drawee through an authorized collecting bank or at a clearing system is deemed as presentment made by the holder.
