The sparse finite element is considered for solving eigenvalue problems. Based on an interpolation postprocessing, superconvergence estimates of both eigenfunction and eigenvalue are obtained.
The main purpose is to introduce a newly published book the preprocessing and postprocessing for the finite element method was introduced, including superconvergence, preliminary treatment, expansion, correction, posterior estimate, selfadaptive processing and eigenvalue problem etc.
Numerical experimentation have not only proved the theoretical result but also found out superconvergence of higher order.
In this paper, superconvergence in two-dimensional vortex-lattice methods is presented and studied.
