The future date is called the delivery date or final settlement date.

Where the Gold (Forwards) settlement date would fall (as predicted by the rule in the table) on a Friday or on the day before a US holiday, the contract will instead settle on the previous day.
The date on which FRNs pay their previous coupon and from which they start to accrue interest on their next coupon. This will often be used as a flat settlement date.
