At dusk Friday, two light armored vehicles drove toward the house, with armed police crouching behind them for cover, an eyewitness told National Radio.
The kidnapper was shot dead then and there by the armed policeman.
But as the stand-off wore on, armed police approached the coach and began to smash windows and the glass front door.
In the confusion armed police had to protect the staff of Ryanair (or "Riot-air", as one passenger put it) and others from irate travellers.
