Ye xiao or night snacks is the fourth meal of the day in China. It is usually from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. It is different in the north and the south of China.
In the north of China, barbeque (燒烤) is the most common (普通) night snack, especially in summer, while in the south there are many choices(選擇) for ye xiao. Spicy crayfish (小龍蝦) in Zhenjiang and tasty desserts(點心) in Xiamen have a lot of fans.
