Violin Prodigy（神童）Li Chuanyun

The man in the picture is Li Chuanyun. He is a Chinese violinist, going on a path to the international stage.

At the age of three, Li Chuanyun began to learn violin. Only two years later, he amazed a national jury panel(評審團) with a perfect performance. From then on, Li Chuanyun went on amazing the world. At 11, he became the youngest champion at the Wieniawski international Violin Competition.

Li Chuanyun said,“The biggest fool in the world is me. That’s why I have to work hard. Being called fool is a motivation(激勵) for me… so I can become the best. Whenever they said I’m clever, I don’t feel good. I believe everyone has talent. Only some fail to find it. Some try but go into the wrong direction.”

It’s very rare that one person has the ability to change a musical idea into sound very quickly. Most people have to think before they can do this. But Li Chuanyun just plays. What enables him to do so is his passion(熱情), energy and diligence(勤奮).

Master violinist Ruggiero Ricci said,“This boy can make a good career. He has a lot of passion. It’s strong and passion is very important. If China wants a great violinist, you have one. What you’ve got to do is to look after him.”
