Abstract: In this paper, based on the creep analysis of axially compressed CFST( Concrete Filled Steel Tubular) short columnc, the effect of creep on confining stress was considered and an effective method to calculate confining stress in the procedure of creep was constructed.
The plastic deformation of expansive clay can be reflected on the height, area and volume changes of soil body, but more significantly on height change due to the confining stress.
